Incident Details
- Incident Description: I purchased a couch, twin bed with boxed and spring mattress for my daughter at Ashley Home Furniture Store, located in Blackwood, New Jersey. I financed this furniture in my name; by filling out an in store electronic application. My daughter then found out that her furniture was infested with Bed Bugs. We contacted the company and filed reports the following agencies FTC. CPA and BBB. Nothing was resolved with either agency. The company wanted to replace the furniture; but that was unacceptable. I wanted to know why, where and how did this store sell furniture that was infested with Bed Bugs. Also, several of my associated whom brought furniture from the same company has experience the same Bed Bug Infestation. So, now this is not just coincidental. Also, when I notified Wellsfargo Bank about the incident and refuse to make any further payments on the account, which is in my name. I requested a copy of all payments and the original application of credit contract that was signed by me at the furniture store. I received my account statement of payments, but it states I brought the furniture from Value City Furniture. Then Ashley Home furniture store put the account in my daughters name. RED FLAGS, saying I did not have an account with their company. But, the furniture was delivered to my daughters residence.

- If yes to any, explanation: They wanted to replace furniture w/o providing proof that new furniture was not contaminated. Until proof was provided that replacement furniture was not coming from their company, then replacement of furniture would not be acceptable.
