Caller reported that while using the blow dryer, flames shot out from electrical cord that is attached to the handle, which dissipated within seconds. The incident caused her to receive second degree burns to her right wrist.

She received medical attention the following day from her physician. The blow dryer remains inoperable due to the failure. (7/31/13) The manufacturer was contacted and she was informed by a rep that the firm would be willing to take care of her medical expenses and for her to return the product.

8/15/2013 She received a threatening email from Founder of the company denying the claim that was previously made, stating that that if she tried to pursue the case legally it would be futile and that her statement was a fraud.

The caller feels that this blow dryer which was used approximately 6 times was a fire hazard.
