When I left my 22 month old daughter alone in her crib to nap, she became stuck in her crib. The front of the crib has a rail at the top of the bars, a gap, and then another rail. The gap is the problem. When my daughter stuck one leg in the horizontal gap, she was able to swing her other leg over. The leg in the gap was pinned. Then she was stuck straddling the crib. She is not tall for her age. We believe this is an unsafe crib design. Luckily we heard her crying on the monitor and ran upstairs so she was only stuck for a minute or so. She has a bad bruise on her leg from being stuck but otherwise is ok. The back of the crib is much taller than the front or the sides and the entire crib should be this tall if the sleigh detail is going to be included. If we had not heard her crying, I don't know how long she could have supported herself and may have fallen out of the crib or have been stuck hanging upside down.
