When my daughter was 6 weeks old I had put her down in her Lauren crib for nap time. After 10-15 minute she started to fuss. After she fussed for around a minute I peeked my head in the room to make sure she was OK. I was horrified to see that her entire lower half was sticking out through the crib slats! The only thing holding her was her diaper!

If I had not checked in on her she could have passed through the slots possibly up to her shoulders or worse her neck.

I understand that the slats are up to the current safety standards but since bumpers are no longer allowed in cribs changes must be made in order to avoid children slipping through. We should NOT have to wait until a child is seriously injured or dies to have change.

The crib is produced by LaJobi for the Graco brand.
