The Plastic Label on the outside of the container is a choking hazard.

My 8 month old daughter was in her highchair with the entire family present eating her puffs snack. She was able to grab the container and bit off a large peice of the plastic wrapper which then became lodged in her throat. She immedialtely began choking. 911 was called and she was taken to the emergency room by ambulance. Thankfully it eventually went down her feeding tube and she was able to breath. According to the doctors if this went down her wind pipe she may have died. We have folowed up with our pediatrician today and are waiting for her to pass the swallowed plastic within a few days.

The instructions on the container tell you to "open here" caution disgard plastic strap after opening. After you do this the rest of the label becomes compromised and can easliy tear off in pieces. We tried this with 6 other containers and the result was the same.

We have warned other families we know, many who then reported to us similiar issues with their children also tearing this plastic off with their mouths.

I have contacted Gerber and begged then to change this to a permant label that can not come off and present a choking hazard. I will be happy to provide any additional information that may be needed.

Please, please, please, look into this before someone's beautiful child dies from this.

Thank you.
