The consumer stated that the bulb had burnt out earlier in the day, however, later that evening there was a red/orange glow in the ceramic part of the bulb. There were also fumes emitting from it. The bulb was removed from the lamp immediately.

The consumer is concerned that the bulb might contain mercury and may have health hazards associated with it.

The manufacturer was not contacted as yet.

The consumer feels that this bulb is a fire and health hazard and that this should be recalled.
