The consumer stated that her 20 months (25 pounds) daughter was inside the crib for approximately 20 to 30 minutes when her 10 year old daughter informed her that something was wrong with the crib.

The consumer stated that her daughter’s crib has four solid metal brackets located at the bottom of the bed to support a wood board that supports the mattress. She stated that one of the brackets broke in half and the board and mattress dropped on the back right side of the crib. The consumer stated that the edges where the metal bracket broke were very sharp and exposed. The consumers crib poses the same hazards stated on recall #09-093.

The consumer stated that her daughter slipped into the corner and her foot was stuck in the space between the board and the frame. The consumer pushed the wood board and mattress down to have space to remove her daughter’s foot out from between the mattress and the frame of the crib.

She stated that her daughter was not injured.

The consumer stated that she had a bracket from a shelf and she screwed the bracket to the board and the crib frame to provide support to the mattress. She stated that she tried to fix the crib by placing and a new bracket to support the mattress for the night.

The consumer was trying to contact the manufacturer because she would like to receive the correct mattress metal support to fix her daughter’s crib properly. She also stated that she tried to contact the manufacturer and she is unable to get in contact with them.
