The consumer stated that she was placing a towel on the upper handle of the range. She stated that they are 5 oval holes above the handles that measured approximately 3/8” by 5”. The consumer stated that when she placed the towel on the handle her left hand little finger was caught on one of the holes. The consumer stated that the hole had very sharp edges.

The consumer stated that she received a 1/8” laceration on her left hand little finger. The consumer stated that she added pressure to stop the bleeding. She stated that it took approximately 2 hours for the bleeding to stop. The consumer then proceeded to add antibiotic ointment and a band aid to treat the laceration. The consumer stated that she did not have to go to emergency room.

5/30/2012 The consumer stated that the manufacturer stated that they would send a technician to repair the machine. The consumer stated that the technician went to her home on 5/31/2012 and stated that he order a part to repair the part. The technician stated that he would be replacing the part on 6/11/2012.

The consumer stated that this product should be investigated do to the laceration hazard that it poses to the consumers.
