The consumer stated that he started the dishwasher and went to bed at 11:00pm and he was woken up at 1:30am by a plastic burning odor. The consumer stated that got up and noticed that smoke was being emitted by the dishwasher from the top of the door where the control panel was located.

The consumer stated that he immediately opened the door which stopped the drying cycle. The consumer stated that he turned off the circuit breaker. He stated that it took approximately 10-15 minutes for the smoke to dissipate. The consumer stated that the plastic burnt odor was still in the house.

The consumer stated that the front plastic located on the control panel was melted and also burnt marks on the top aluminum cover. The consumer stated that there were no damages to his home structure.

The consumer stated that no one was injured.

The consumer stated that he found several recalls while searching online and he feels that his dishwasher was posing the same hazard listed on release #11-022.

The consumer stated that he would be contacting the manufacturer to file complaint.
