Emily 4 in 1 Crib including Toddler Rail
both from
I have 2 DaVinci Emily Cribs in Espresso. The first has been used with our first born who's one month shy of 2. The incident happened on 4/21/2013, his birthday is [REDACTED]. I bought the 2nd in preparation for the arrival of number 2. We thought it was a good crib until after nap on Sunday, 4/21. He tried climbing out of his crib for the first time. Got his leg up, under the bar and between the rest of the rail. Somehow (I have no idea how) got his other leg up, pulled himsef up and then his thighs were literally stuck in the space between the top round rail and the rest of the crib rail. I heard him let out a panic cry and heard him say, "I stuck, I stuck!" I went in to find him in this predicament.

Please see picture attathed to email with subject line: [REDACTED]
I did contact the DaVinci company just before I contacted you so nothing from them yet.

I also called this report in to you so you'll receive it 2x.

Comment from MILLION DOLLAR BABY 5/6/2013
We are terribly sorry to hear about this incident. It is recommended that you convert the crib into a toddler bed when your child reaches 35” in height or able to climb out of the crib. The minimum age for the toddler bed is 15 months old. During our previous conversations with you, we learned that you had recently purchased another Emily crib from Amazon for your unborn child and would like to return it because of what happened. We completely understand and respect your decision. Unfortunately since the purchase was made through Amazon, the return needs to be processed by Amazon as well. Should you run into any problem in returning the crib please feel free to contact us again, we would do our best to assist. Meanwhile, for the Emily crib that your first child is currently using, again, we strongly recommend you to convert it into a toddler bed to prevent any similar incidents from happening again. If you have any questions in regards how to convert, please feel free to contact us. Thank you.
