Grandson was asleep in a crib from Delta Enterprises, Model 4920-1, Order number 523262, Date 1-10-04. He was stirring and the bottom fell out of the crib. I measured the board in the bottom of the crib. It is 26.25 inches. The distance between the rails in the bottom is 26 inches. Therefore, the board ( a piece of Masonite or something similar) does not sit flat in the bottom. It sits at an angle with one side in the proper position and one side up on the top of the bottom piece. So the board can slide uphill and the bottom drops out on the other side. He fell approximately 18 inches. He had no injuries other than a scratch. But it could have been worse.

Please be aware that our crib slats adhere to the mandated federal requirements which established the slat dimensions and spacing in order to avoid head entrapment.
