The glass mirror portion of a Keystone Bath Medicine Cabinet fell off and shattered. The model number is 126 582 and it was purchased in 2000. There were no injuries but damage was caused to the sink faucet. No one was in the bathroom at the time though people were sleeping in the adjacent bedroom. This is the second time that I have had a failure of one of these mirrored doors though in a different - the last time was in 2007 at which time the manufacturer replaced the door and payed for the damage to the faucet. I contacted the new owner of Keystone - Maxx, who were unwilling to replace the door or offer to pay for the damage as they said that the product was not under warranty. They did offer to sell me a new door but I did not commit to that.

Additionally, I checked another cabinet in the house (we have four bathrooms with this brand of cabinet) and the glass appears to be separating from the frame so I suspect it will fail shortly-I plan on taking it off the cabinet in advance of that occurring.
