The consumer stated that he was on the lower level of his house when he heard a loud noise coming from the kitchen. When he inspected the kitchen notices that the front glass window to the oven door detached from the oven door and fell on the floor. The glass piece did not shattered. The consumer stored the glass oven window.

The consumer contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer offered to schedule a technician to inspect and repair the unit free of charge because the appliance was under warranty. The technician contacted the consumer by phone and decided that he will order the part without inspecting the unit.

03/25/14- The consumer contacted the manufacturer. He was informed that the part was going to be mailed at a delayed time. The consumer requested the appliance to be replaced. The manufacturer agreed.

04/01/14- The manufacturer's representative visited the consumer's home. He removed the defective range and installed a new one.

The consumer thinks that in the event that the window falls while the oven is being in use it can cause an injury or burn.
