While running dishwasher, it stopped in the cycle, and the appliance smelled like something was hot so, I unplugged it (It is a portable unit) and called the repair company I use. He came out and found that the connector that connnect the power cable to the dishwasher wiring harness had gotten hot and burned the wires. He fixed that with wire nuts and it works now.
