My son plugged in a heated blanket made by Sunbeam. The control started on fire, then self extinguished, leaving a black soot on a chair and causing a lot of smoke from the control. Because the nature of the product is bedding, I felt compelled to file a report. Normally, I would just throw it in the trash, but if I can help someone else so be it.

The control is labeled Style T85A E23623.
