The consumer stated that the trigger worked intermittently on his drill. The consumer stated that the last time he used the drill, dark blue smoke started coming out from the sides of the drill (by the motor area). The consumer could see a fire inside of the drill in the motor area.

The consumer stopped using the drill and waved it around in the air to put out the fire.

The consumer has tried to use the drill after the incident and the drill works. The consumer stated that he does not plan to use the drill because it is a fire hazard.

The consumer's drill does not appear to be affected by any recalls.

The consumer will contact the manf in regards to the incident.
