(09/12/2016) The consumer stated that the machine was plugged into an outlet. He moved it and plugged it into a different outlet. The power light did not come on. The consumer left the machine plugged in. Ten minutes later he smelled a plastic burning smell. He saw smoke coming out of the machine. The machine was also hot. The consumer unplugged the product. He felt the pin plug to see it if was hot but it was cool to the touch. Also, the adapter seemed warm but it was not overly hot.

We are in receipt of your notification dated October 24, 2016, providing consumer complaint information concerning an incident associated with a product reportedly sold by Newell Brands, Inc. ("Newell"). Based on the information provided regarding a label maker in CPSC Report #20160913-30DA5-1593861, Newell does not believe that the specific product identified contains any defect that could create a substantial product hazard or unreasonable risk of serious injury or death. However, Newell will conduct further evaluation of this reported issue and take necessary action as deemed appropriate.
