The consumer indicates that she was using both the cooktop and the oven when she smelled something burning. The consumer immediately turned off the oven range. The consumer pulled the unit from its location and noticed that there were flames coming from the metal protection cover on the back of the unit. The consumer let the flames subside.

The consumer unscrewed the metal protection cover and noticed that the wiring inside it had burnt.

The consumer indicates that prior to the incident, the cooktop portion of the oven range was used approximately once or twice daily, whereas as the oven was used once daily on average. The consumer plans on keeping the oven range for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.
