In the middle of the night, the glass front of my GE profile slide-in electric range fell off of the front of the oven and shattered and flew all over the kitchen and adjoining family room. This is the 3rd time this has happened since purchasing the oven in October 2009. When the manufacturer was contacted the first time April 2010, they replaced the glass under "warranty". The second time it happened, November 2012, they told me it was not under warranty. They sent a technician to the house, charged me for the visit to determine that the glass had shattered, and then charged me for the glass panel to be replaced.. Now this is the 3rd time it has shattered. Luckily no one was near it when it happened. The oven was not on and had not been on for the 3 occurrences. The adhesive connecting the glass to the metal oven door appears to be double sided foam tape and is not sufficient to adhere the glass safely.
