This is a GE Dehumidifier Model No. AHG40LBG1. It was not among the two sets of recalls recently issued for other GE Dehumidifers; however, it seems to have the same type of defect. The unit was plugged in and operating and caught fire internally. Burned oil and black soot is clearly visible on the unit and it emitted a foul, burning rubber smell. This fire endangered a 2 year old boy.
