I was using a Ryobi One+ drill. I inserted a 4Ah battery pack into the drill. I had only been using the drill 10-15 seconds when the battery terminal melted. The heat melted the grip/handle on the drill and burned my hand. I tried to put another battery in the drill, but the battery damaged the drill and it won't work anymore. There was a recall a couple of years ago on a 4Ah battery, but this battery was a different part number. The battery from my drill was a model P108, part number 130429075. I have contacted Ryobi customer service about six times. They have assured me that the safety department would contact me, but it has been about 10 weeks since I began contacting them. I haven't received a phone call from anyone to resolve these issues or inquire about the incident.
