I bought CONAIR Garment steamer on 5th April from Costco used it first time on April 7th. The garments as instructed were hanged on the safe Iron Board Rack. While I fill the water I noticed that the white lid was not perfectly closing and I put pressure to close it. After spending several swipes on first shirt which never became wrinkle free or pressed. I tried to another shirt as I moved the steamer all of sudden big steam blow hit my chest and burnt my skin. At that time I was wearing cotton shirt not shirtless but somehow the steam started towards my chest and hot water leaked from the water container too. I saw [REDACTED] in [REDACTED] Mississauga and she diagnosed it 2nd degree burn and prescribed the Ointment which I am currently using. Since the incident I was not able to attend my office for two days and had severe pain and irritation on my chest area.

To resolve the issue, I contacted Conair Canada who directed me after several calls to US office who said to send the unit back for investigation. After weeks they told me there is nothing wrong and its not our fault?
