The consumer indicates that when the chair is in its reclining position with the footrest up, the entire unit tips forward when one tries to get out of the chair.

The consumer believes the base of the recliner has a faulty design.

The consumer contacted the place of purchase and explained the situation; the representative he spoke to informed him that he has never heard such a complaint and thus it must be due to user-error.

The consumer states that the units have been used approximately three times for less than half hour each use.

The consumer plans on keeping his two recliners for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

We are sorry to learn of this consumer’s experience with one of our products. His report indicates that when the chair is in its reclining position with the footrest up, the entire unit tips forward when one tries to get out of the chair. As explained to the consumer, the chair’s Operating Instructions include “Important Safety Instructions” that contain the following “WARNING” on two separate pages: “To safely exit the unit and prevent a tripping hazard, bring the back upright and close the legrest.”
