Caller is reporting that he was replacing the bulb because it had blown out and noticed that the end of the casing had melted. He stated that they were fumes that had emitted from the bulb and that it contains mercury. He feels that he may have been exposed to the chemical substances which is a health hazard.

Caller contacted the retailer and notified them of the incident.

Caller is concerned that the light bulb presents both fire and health hazard and would like the agency to investigate the matter.
