  • Incident Description: The caller stated that his spouse turned on the right front burner and black smoke and flames started emitting from the control. The range was powered off and then disconnected from the gas. There were no prior incidents or services for this unit. 8/10/12 The manufacturer was contacted and a service rep was sent out on 8/13. He was advised by the rep that the repairs would cost him approximately $650. The diagnostic was a gas leak under the control. The caller is concerned that this gas range has a failure and should be addressed by the firm.
