Incident Details
- Incident Description: I am a pediatrician. I had a newborn infant who had poor growth at her two week visit. After a discussion with the family about ho wthey were feeding the baby and mixing the formula, I learned that they were using a baby brezza. I didn’t know what it was it quickly learned that it mixed the formula for the baby. We decided to take it out of the equation and have the parents mix it themselves. The baby gained appropriate weight. The parents told me they discovered that the brezza was watering down the formula and not mixing it properly. This is unacceptable. It is very dangerous for baby’s to not get proper nutrition - think rapid brain development starved for fuel. The baby also may undergo extensive testing that is unnecessary.

We fully stand behind our product. We would be more than happy to assist your patient and address her concerns. We provide Customer Service from Monday to Friday as well as extensive resources at www.babybrezza.com to help with proper machine set-up and operation. We’d like your patient to contact our Customer Service at 888-396-6552 or CS@BabyBrezza.com so we can troubleshoot her concerns. Unfortunately, she hasn’t reached out to us so we’re not able to verify the specific claims in this incident report. However, based on our 7 years of experience selling the Formula Pro line of products, we’ve found that most issues are “user errors” in which consumers don’t assemble the parts correctly, don’t look up the right setting for the formula they are using or don’t clean the machine properly. In those instances where we can’t resolve the issue, we offer a 1 year limited warranty which includes either a replacement or a refund depending on the circumstances.
We would be more than happy to assist your patient and address her concerns. We would like to discuss this situation with the consumer, explain how to use the machine properly, provide relevant troubleshooting advice, and if necessary, inspect the machine to ensure it functions properly and replace it or issue a refund if necessary.
