Incident Description: Maytag Model MVWB855, 5.3 cu top-load washer (bravo series). This weekend 11/28/2020 this 3 year old appliance during spin cycle exploded drum from the housing in the laundry room. Sheet metal tore open! Have seen similar recalls on [REDACTED] front load machine but nothing on Maytag top-load. It is a very dangerous product and consumer safety issue. Currently have contacted Maytag but not getting any response. Have pictures and video if needed.
