  • Incident Description: The consumer indicates that she turned her juicer on to high speed and added celery in it. Less than one minute later, the unit exploded and the metal mesh inside it broke off and hit her in her stomach, making a one-inch laceration. The consumer notes that had it not been for the waist trainer she was wearing, her laceration would have been much deeper and bigger. The consumer contacted the Manufacturer and explained the situation; the representative she spoke to informed her that they would escalate her complaint to the Supervisor. The consumer states that the unit was used two to three times per month. The consumer plans on keeping her unit for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.
