Incident Description: My husband and I have been sleeping on a Lucid 12in Memory foam mattress for over 2 years. In the last year, I've had throat problems, particularly in the morning and late at night. I move a lot in my sleep and sleep with my mouth open. We also noticed our dogs were increasingly itchy and constantly scratching or licking themselves and we couldn't figure out why. Up until a few days ago, we had never removed the cover of the mattress. Then our dog had an accident on the bed so we unzipped the clearly removable cover to appropriately wash it. The fabric underneath the cover was shredded in the spots we sleep in. When we made the bed with the sheets that were washed with the cover we felt tiny scratches all over our bodies. I searched online and read the Amazon reviews for the product and saw how many other people have had problems because this company makes cheap mattresses using fiberglass without properly protecting or warning consumers. We now have to get a quote to see how much it will cost to remove the invisible fiberglass from our home and throw out all the bedding and pillows we've had on it, not to mention see the doctor having finally found the source of my health problems.
