Incident Description: The Frigidaire Mini Retro 6 can fridge CAUGHT FIRE during the night with my 10 year old son sleeping just a few feet away. It was on a shelf in his room with nothing surrounding it. While our family was asleep it caught fire. My son woke up to smoke alarms sounding and his entire room/basement was covered in smoke with a ball of fire in the corner. He woke up frantic and screaming trying to find the door. It was awful. He normally keeps this fridge right next to his headboard. He had moved it to the shelf just a few days prior. The fire department said if it would have been by his bed he would have been the one who caught fire with it. They said if we would not have been home our entire home would be a loss. This product is SO DANGEROUS!!!!! MY SON COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN KILLED. THIS SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED!!!!!
