Incident Description: recived the blendjet 2 today. opened it from the box and turned it on, it worked fine. about 8 hours later i turned it on again to demonstrate i. it started its blend cycle but didnt turn off. I thought I heard it burning and then saw glowing through the plastic base. then smelled the distinct smell of electrical fire. it then started smoking (white smoke). so i put it into my sink. It still wasn't turning off, so I ran water over it until it stopped. About 2 hours later at the time of writing this, it still has the led, indicating its on, turned on and wont turn off.
