Nautilus: Thank you for the information regarding our product. BowFlex values customer input and takes issues regarding our products’ safety seriously. Our experience has been that when the product is properly used, that plate dislodgement should not occur. However, if the product is unintentionally damaged or misused, or as a result of improper usage, the condition described may occur. As recommended in the Owner’s Manual, follow the procedure for periodic inspection and test the locking mechanism for correct function. The customer spoke with our Consumer Relations representative on the date of notification to resolve the issue directly. It was determined through the serial number that the dumbbells are not part of any recall and were out of warranty. A resolution has been reached.
