Report Summary

33 YO consumer bought a diesel heater which contained an asbestos gasket. The air that is blown through the heater into the outlet passes by the gasket. Despite proof that the heater contains asbestos, manufacturer denied this and did nothing. No injuries.

  • Incident Description: I bought a diesel heater from Vevor which contained an asbestos gasket. The air that is blown through the heater into the outlet passes by the gasket. To make things worse, Vevor informed me in writing that the heater did not contain any asbestos. However, I had the gasket tested and the result came back as 50% asbestos. I have both the written interaction with Vevor where they claim that the heater does not contain asbestos and the test result showing that it contains 50% asbestos.
