Incident Description:
On February 25, 2026, my family members were rushed to the emergency room due to acute Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Despite the presence of this CO detector in our home, the device failed to sound any alarm or show any elevated readings while CO levels had reached life-threatening concentrations.
It is clear that this device is not a functional safety tool but a deceptive and dangerous product that provides a false sense of security.
Request for Action:
This product is currently being sold to thousands of American consumers who rely on it to protect their lives. A CO detector that cannot detect CO is a "substantial product hazard" under Section 15 of the Consumer Product Safety Act.
I urgently request that the CPSC:
Immediately investigate this specific product and its manufacturer/supplier.
Test the effectiveness of this model to prevent further injuries or potential fatalities.
Initiate a formal recall to remove this hazardous item from the U.S. market and Amazons platform.
I have attached picture for your review. I am fully prepared to cooperate with your investigation and can provide the defective unit for testing if required.
