Good afternoon Classic Brands,
My name is[REDACTED] and I was gifted recently one of your CoolGel Queen mattresses. While it is comfy however a very very critical issue has come up regarding the manufacturing of the mattress using Fiberglass cloth mesh as a between cover of the memory foam mattress. This cheesecloth like fabric breaks down into millions if not billions of particles of fiberglass. I am severely asthmatic and suffer from scoliosis. This mattress was a gift to help my back out after having a 17 year old mattress prior.
My furbaby had an accident on the bed and I cleaned my sheets and comforter. Saw there was a mattress cover that I took off to wash as well not knowing there would be this terrible fiberglass fabric wrapped around the mattress.
This fabric was NOT needed to protect the mattress when a proper cloth fabric mattress cover was placed ontop of the fiberglass and mattress itself. This fiberglass issue has cause me to hire a disaster cleaning crew specialising in removal of hazardous materials using Hepa filtered vacuums and other process to remove the fiberglass from my home.
I will have ot incurr the costs of this and will be speaking with an attorney regarding this on Monday 3/29/2021. There are multiple other companies who used fiberglass in their mattresses with class action lawsuits against them. After legal council regarding this matter and contacting the Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding the CoolGel mattresses offered by Classic Brands.
I need this issue remedied by your company as improperly using dangerous materials in someone's every day sleeping area is absolutely wrong and should never have been done.

I expect a call back from leadership regarding this issue and a solution from your company to provide compensation for the cleaning services, damages due to having to throw out clothing, sheets, comforters, towels and more in my home. These losses would not have occurred had Fiberglass not be used on your products.
