Consumer's spouse was removing the lid from the candle the glass jar shattered. No injuries. Consumer contacted the company & was advised that since they used the lid to close the jar while the candle was still lit the heat caused the jar to expand which caused the incident.

  • Incident Description: Caller stated that while his spouse was removing the lid from the candle the glass jar shattered. No injuries was sustained from the incident Caller contacted the company and was advised that since they used the lid to close the jar while the candle was still lit the heat caused the jar to expand which caused the incident. Caller stated that he has used candle jars which was much thicker than this jar. He feels that this jar is a safety hazard and should be recalled.
